Scoliosis in a late teen

Patient Profile

Age: 16
Condition:  Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
Symptoms:  Moderate scoliosis with onset of mid back and shoulder pain
Goal:  Stabilize and scoliosis reduction and pain relief

The Challenge

The patient has reached skeletal maturity.  There is a family history of scoliosis that required surgical intervention.

The Solution: Total Scoliosis Solution (TSS) Program

She enrolled in our TSS Program, where we designed a personalized treatment plan focused on:

Scoliosis reduction and stabilization

Scoliosis specific exercises

Soft tissue remodeling and targeted muscle activation for scoliosis stabilization and correction

Home scoliosis-specific exercise program to help self-manage scoliosis for life while building confidence

The Results

After the completion of the TSS Program and maintenance care, she had follow-up re-assessment including updated x-rays four years later at the age of 20, that showed a curve reduction of 26%.  With no intervention, her scoliosis would follow the natural course of scoliosis, and would have most likely progressed.
